Two men who were arrested over the fatal shooting of a father-of-four on his doorstep in North Lanarkshire have been released from custody.
Anthony Wright, 35, died after being shot in Inverkip Drive, Shotts, as he left his home for work on 9 June.
Two men, aged 20 and 50, were due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Monday, but the case did not call.
The Crown Office said after a careful consideration of the facts the men were released pending further enquiries.
A Crown Office spokesman said: "We can confirm that the procurator fiscal at Hamilton received a report concerning two men aged 20 and 50, in relation to an alleged incident on 9 June 2010.
"After full and careful consideration of all of the facts and circumstances in this case including the available evidence, Crown Counsel instructed that both be liberated pending further enquiries.
"They did not appear in court."
