Motorcyclist killed in Argyll crash named

A motorcyclist killed in a crash on the A83 Inveraray to Lochgilphead road has been named by police.

Roberto Alongi was originally from Sicily but lived and worked in Edinburgh.

The 44-year-old died when his BMW bike collided with a Seat car near Port Ann on Sunday.

His female passenger, 36, was taken to Southern General Hospital in Glasgow, where her condition was described as serious. No one in the car was injured.
