Woman indecently assaulted in supermarket car park

A 31-year-old woman has been indecently assaulted in a supermarket car park in the west end of Glasgow.

Strathclyde Police said the victim was not injured but "deeply traumatised" by the incident, which happened at 0400 BST in the Morrisons car park on Crow Road.

The woman was grabbed from behind and pulled to the ground while walking home from a night out.

The suspect is described as white and aged between 40 and 50.

He was about 5ft 6ins tall with white or grey hair, and was wearing a dark coloured jacket and a light coloured top.

Det Sgt Monica Haggerty said: "This was a frightening end to what should have been remembered as a fun night out with friends.

"Instead, the young woman has been left deeply traumatised by this particularly disturbing attack. Fortunately, she was uninjured and did not require any medical treatment."
