Emergency crews in attendance after fire at Granton flats
Emergency services have tackled a fire at a block of flats in Edinburgh's Granton area.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) was called to the scene in Heron Place, on Monday morning.
Several fire engines attended the address and the fire on the seventh floor was extinguished.
No casualties have been reported, but emergency services have remained at the scene to ensure the area is made safe following the fire.
A SFRS spokeswoman said: "The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was alerted at 09:28 on Monday 11 February to reports of a fire within a tower building in Edinburgh.
"Operations control mobilised a number of fire engines to Heron Place where firefighters extinguished the fire on the seventh floor.
"There are no casualties. Crews remain in attendance checking the area to ensure it is made safe."
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said officers were supporting the SFRS during the incident.
She said: "Police in Edinburgh were called to Heron Place by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service at 09:30 on Monday 11 February after reports of a fire at a block of flats.
"Officers remain in attendance to support the fire response."
