Man arrested following death in Edinburgh

The family of a man who died at an Edinburgh house say they are "shocked and devastated beyond words" by his death.

Roddy Loughton, 26, died early on Monday morning in Muirhouse Terrace.

Police said a man had been arrested and charged in connection with the death. A 29-year-old man is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court.

Mr Loughton's family said he had a "sensitive soul, great sense of humour and adored his kids".

"We are shocked and devastated beyond words by the news of Roddy's passing. Roddy was a loving dad, son and brother," the statement said.

"We want to thank all the family, friends and local community for their well wishes and support at this time."
