Man charged over off-licence robberies in Edinburgh

A man has been charged after an off-licence in Edinburgh was robbed for the second time in two days.

The High Spirits store in Slateford Road was targeted at 20:40 on Saturday, and then at about 21:45 on Monday.

In the latest incident, the shop assistant was threatened with a knife. A three-figure sum of money was stolen on both occasions.

The 30-year-old is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court later.
