Pensioner charged over teen bus sex attack in East Lothian
A pensioner has been charged following the sexual assault of a teenage girl on an East Lothian bus.
The 17-year-old was assaulted on the 107 East Coast Buses service to Dunbar after boarding in Haddington at about 18:30 on Wednesday 14 December.
Following the attack, police said the man got off the bus on Mill Wynd in East Linton.
Police Scotland said they have charged a 68-year-old man.
Ch Insp Matt Paden, of Police Scotland, said: "I want to take this opportunity to thank the public and the bus company for their support and assistance as we carried out our inquiries.
"All reports of sexual offences are treated with the utmost seriousness and I want to assure everyone that we will use all resources at our disposal to investigate these."
A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
