Two youths who are thought to have smashed a window on a double decker bus in Fife are being sought by police.

The incident happened at about 17:00 on Monday on Laburnum Road in Methil. Two youths aged about 13 or 14 were seen in the vicinity.

One of the youths was wearing a grey hooded top, the other had dark clothing on.

Police are appealing for witnesses. They said nobody was hurt in the incident.

The Stagecoach vehicle was moving at the time it was hit.

Sgt Craig Fyall, of Police Scotland, said: "Fortunately nobody was injured but this was reckless behaviour that showed complete disregard for the safety of others.

"It has cost the bus company a considerable amount to repair the damage and find a replacement bus."
