Taxi driver in hospital after crash in Edinburgh

A man has been taken to hospital with minor injuries following a crash between a taxi and a car in Edinburgh.

The 45-year-old taxi driver, who was trapped, was cut out of his vehicle by firefighters and taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary following the crash just before 09:00 on Glasgow Road.

The cars crashed at the junction with North Gyle Road.

The female driver of the grey BMW 320D was also taken to hospital with minor injuries.
