Four men have been committed for trial for an armed robbery in West Lothian.

The men were charged with assault and robbery following a hold up at the Post Office in Kirknewton's Main Street on 10 October.

They were arrested after men were found near Kirknewton Post Office with marked map of the area.

Maurice McIntyre, 33, from Whitburn, Craig Thomson, 33, Kevin Hannah, 28, and Ross Thomson, 27, from Bathgate, made no plea or declaration.

They appeared at Livingston Sheriff Court. They were all remanded in custody pending trial by jury.
