Five in court over pharmacy armed robbery in West Lothian
Five people have appeared in court charged with an armed robbery in West Lothian.
Cash and other items were stolen from a pharmacy/post office in Main Street, Kirknewton, at about 16:00 on Monday 10 October.
No-one was injured in the incident.
None of the accused - four men and a woman from West Lothian - made any plea or declaration at Livingston Sheriff Court and all five were committed for further examination.
In addition to the robbery charge, 26-year-old Bernadette Lang from West Calder was accused of possessing a controlled drug.
She and Ross Thomson, 27, from Boghall in Bathgate, were released on bail.
Maurice McIntyre, 33, from Whitburn, Craig Thomson, 33, and Kevin Hannah, 28, both from Bathgate, were all remanded in custody.
