Man punched after challenging youths in Edinburgh
A 63-year-old man has been punched to the ground after challenging a group of youths about their behaviour in Edinburgh.
He sustained a head injury during the incident on Tuesday at Birnies Court in Muirhouse View.
He was taken to hospital following the attack at about 17:00.
The attacker is a white man in his late teens to early 20s, 5ft 6ins, with long dark hair. He was wearing a green polo shirt and dark jogging bottoms.
Det Con Gavin Howat, of Police Scotland, said: "The victim sustained a painful injury to his head after being punched to the ground and we are actively pursuing a number of lines of inquiry to trace the male responsible.
"We would ask that anyone who was within the area and witnessed this incident to contact police immediately.
"In addition, anyone with any further information relevant to this assault should also get in touch."
