Tools worth five-figure sum stolen from business

Electrical tools worth thousands of pounds have been stolen from a business in West Lothian.

More than 50 items, worth a five-figure sum, were taken overnight between 7 and 8 August from premises at the Whitburn Road industrial estate in Bathgate.

They included several battery packs and chargers, gas powered tools and drills.

Pc Michelle Robertson said: "This is a high-value theft which has deprived the owners of this business of thousands of pounds worth of tools and materials."
