A 23-year-old man has been hit by a car in a hit and run collision in Midlothian.
A people carrier mounted the kerb near Easthouses Church on Bogwood Road in Mayfield at about 14:00 on Sunday and hit the man who was walking on the pavement.
The car drove off towards Lawfield Road leaving the man slightly injured.
Police are keen to speak to people waiting at a nearby bus stop who may have witnessed what happened.
Sgt Alan King, of Police Scotland, said: "Fortunately, the victim was not seriously hurt as a result of this incident and we are currently pursuing various lines of inquiry to trace the driver of the people-carrier.
"We believe there were a number of people waiting at the bus stop opposite David Scott Avenue at the time of the collision and they may have witnessed what happened.
"I would ask these individuals to contact police immediately.
