Man knocked down by marked police car in Fife

A man has been taken to hospital after he was knocked down by a marked police car in Fife.

The pedestrian was on East Fergus Place in Kirkcaldy when he was hit by the car at about 12:30.

The man's injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. He has been taken to Victoria Hospital.

Police Scotland said inquiries into the circumstances of the incident were ongoing and asked for any witnesses to come forward.
