Police investigate 10 suspicious fires in Musselburgh
Police are investigating 10 separate incidents of deliberate fire-raising in East Lothian.
The emergency services responded to a series of suspicious fires in the Fisherrow area of Musselburgh including reports of boats on fire.
Cars in surrounding streets were also damaged and officers are now trying to establish if the offences are linked.
It is understood the fires happened between 21:00 on 13 March and 04:00 on 14 March.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "At around 21:00 on Sunday 13 March officers responded to a suspicious fire within a flat in Beach Lane.
"A subsequent report of a boat on fire within the harbour came in at around 23:40 that evening and while in attendance police found a second boat that had been set alight.
"Further inquiry in the area revealed several cars in surrounding streets had also sustained minor damage and officers are now trying to establish if all of these offences are linked.
"Anyone who remembers seeing anything suspicious, or who has information that can assist with this investigation, is asked to contact police immediately."
