Police seize 30,000 pills in Kirkcaldy drugs raid

A 24-year-old man has been charged after police recovered more than 30,000 Diazepam tablets in Kirkcaldy.

Officers executed a search warrant at a property in Marion Street in the Fife town on Friday.

Class C drugs with a street value of £33,000 were recovered, along with a quantity of amphetamines.

The 24-year-old was arrested and charged and is due to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Monday.

Det Ch Insp Kenny Gray said officers had conducted "extensive inquiries" before making a "substantial recovery of drugs".
