Nursery owner Lesley Bothwell pleads not guilty to child assault
The owner of an Edinburgh children's nursery is to stand trial on a charge of assaulting a four-year old boy while he was in her care.
Lesley Bothwell, 55, from Letham in Fife, appeared in Edinburgh Sheriff Court.
Solicitor Advocate David Allan, defending, pleaded not guilty on her behalf. Trial was set for next month.
It is alleged Ms Bothwell assaulted the boy on 2 July 2015 in Barnton Nursery on Queensferry Road.
She was charged with repeatedly seizing the boy by the body, dragging him from under a table, forcing him on to a chair and restraining him.
