Andrew Nisbet identified as man killed in Whitburn crash

Police have released the name of a man who died following a collision on the B7066 Whitburn Link Road.

He was 58-year-old Andrew Nisbet. His family said he was a "much loved" husband and father.

Mr Nisbet was in a stationary car which was struck by a van on Wednesday morning near Polkemmet Country Park.

The driver of the van suffered minor injuries. Police issued an appeal for any witnesses who have not spoken to them to make contact

Andrew's family said in a statement: "Andrew was a much loved husband and father of two who will be sorely missed.

"We value the support of all our family and friends at this very sad time and would ask the media to please leave us to grieve and come to terms with our loss in private."
