Man arrested over 'red dye' RBS Craigentinny bank robbery

A man has been arrested following an armed robbery at an Edinburgh bank which was thought to have left the thief covered in red dye.

A four-figure sum was taken during the incident at a branch of RBS in the Craigentinny area on 13 October.

A 32-year-old man has been charged by police. He is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court.

A security device was activated which was thought to have contaminated the thief with dye.
