Two men charged over murder of Robbie Morrison in Edinburgh

Two men have been charged in connection with the murder of a man in Edinburgh's Wester Hailes.

Robbie Morrison, 31, was attacked in Dumbryden Gardens in Wester Hailes at about 16:30 on 22 August.

He received hospital treatment at the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, before succumbing to his injuries on Monday 25 August.

A 37-year-old man and a 46-year-old man are due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Friday.

Det Ch Insp Gary Cunningham, of Police Scotland, said: "Following the tragic death of Robbie Morrison the major investigation has made significant progress and today resulted in the arrests of two males.

"We have been supported by the local community and will be continuing our investigations in the Wester Hailes area of Edinburgh."
