Man's jaw broken in road rage attack in West Lothian

A man is recovering with a broken jaw following an attack during a road rage incident in West Lothian.

The 20-year-old man was driving his small, silver car on Tippethill Road, Armadale at 19:30 on Wednesday when a larger, black car stopped in front.

The driver got out of his car and assaulted the man by punching him several times in the face.

The attacker then drove off towards Armadale. Police Scotland is appealing for witnesses.

Det Con Dougie Gilmour, of Police Scotland, said: "We are keen to speak to anyone who may have been in the area or witnessed this incident.

"As a result of the attack, the man sustained a serious facial injury and has been left badly shaken by the incident.

"This has been a terrible experience for him and we are appealing to members of the public for any information they may have as to who might have been responsible."
