Three rescued from blaze at Edinburgh flat
Firefighters helped three people to safety after a blaze broke out at a flat in Edinburgh.
Crews were alerted to the fire in Roseburn Gardens at about 08:00 on Saturday by an occupant of a neighbouring flat.
Nearly 30 firefighters used breathing equipment and a high-pressure hose reel to bring the fire under control.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said one woman was rescued by crews using a turntable ladder.
Another woman and a man were walked to safety by firefighters.
All three were treated at the scene by ambulance crews. The man was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for further treatment.
A service spokeswoman said the fire had involved "the main fuse board within a basement flat", and power workers were contacted to isolate the supply.
