Flats evacuated in suspicious fire in Edinburgh's Dumbiedykes Road
A block of flats has been evacuated following a suspicious fire in Edinburgh.
More than 25 firefighters tackled the blaze on Dumbiedykes Road just before 04:00.
Seven residents were treated for minor smoke inhalation at the scene. However, no-one was injured.
It is believed the fire in the six-storey block of flats was started deliberately and police are appealing for witnesses.
Ch Insp Richard Horan, of Police Scotland, said: "We are investigating the cause of the fire and are keen to hear from anyone who was in or around Dumbiedykes Road in the early hours of Wednesday morning."
