Crash victim John Dempster's family pay tribute

The family of man who died after his car was involved in a collision with a lorry has paid tribute to a "loving caring person".

John Dempster, 32, from Lochgelly, was killed in a crash at the bottom of a road known as Liza Brae on the B981 between Cardenden and Lochgelly.

The crash, between a skip lorry and a Vauxhall Astra, happened on Thursday at 14:40.

Mr Dempster, the car driver, died at the scene.

In a statement, his family said Mr Dempster was "known to all who loved him as Rev".

They described him as the "only son of Mig and Johnny Dempster, brother to Caroline, fiance of Sarah Bett and loving dad of Leo".

"To all who knew him, John was a loving, caring person," the statement said. "Close to his family and friends, he was loved by them all.

"Of huge comfort to the family has been the way the community has come together and openly expressed their sorrow and given their support.

"John will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him."
