Train services through Edinburgh's Haymarket station have been disrupted following a fault with overhead wires.

Train services are being cancelled, delayed and altered at short notice and there is no indication of when normal services will resume.

Services between Edinburgh and Glasgow Queen Street have been reduced to a half hour service, departing Queen St on the hour and at half past the hour.

They are departing Edinburgh at 15 and 45 minutes past the hour to Glasgow.

Services between Edinburgh and Dunblane will terminate and start back from Linlithgow.

A statement on the ScotRail website said: "Please note that journey times will be extended. Replacement buses have been ordered but are not confirmed yet. Customers are advised to make their own arrangements at present."
