CCTV images of people who may be able to help with a probe into a deliberate fire which caused £1m of damage at a Fife paper mill have been released.

The fire happened last December at Tullis Russell paper mill, Glenrothes.

The company has also put up a reward of £3,000 which is subject to the information leading to an arrest and subsequent conviction.

The CCTV images were taken at Glenrothes Bus Station in the early hours of 27 December last year.

Despite previous appeals, no independent witnesses have come forward.

Officers are particularly keen to trace the man and woman shown in the CCTV footage who they believe may have information about the possible identity of the person responsible for the incident.

Insp Brian Henderson, of Fife Constabulary, said: "We are particularly keen to identify the two people appearing in the CCTV footage, as we believe they may be able to help us solve this investigation.

"I would urge anyone who has any information about them or this incident to call us."
