Hearts footballer Robert Ogleby's drug charge dropped
Charges against a Hearts footballer accused of possessing a class A drug have been dropped.
Robert Ogleby, 19, a Wales Under-21 striker, was accused of possessing cocaine at an Edinburgh nightclub in May.
Fellow Hearts player Ian Black was arrested at the same time. He appeared in court last month.
The Crown Office said there was insufficient evidence against Ogleby and the case had been closed.
Ogleby signed for Hearts last summer after being released by Coventry City and is a member of the Edinburgh club's youth team.
In a statement published on the Hearts website, Ogleby said: "I want to concentrate on my football, build on that experience with Hearts and focus on doing what I do best and try to play as many games as I can."
A Crown Office spokesperson said: "We can confirm that the procurator fiscal at Edinburgh received a report concerning a 19-year-old male in connection with an alleged incident on 16 May.
"After full and careful consideration of the facts and circumstances of the report, including the available evidence, the procurator fiscal decided that there should be no proceedings on the basis of insufficient evidence.
"The case against this individual is now closed."
