The body was spotted near the summit of Arthur's Seat
Search and rescue teams have recovered a body which was discovered near the summit of Arthur's Seat in Edinburgh.
Lothian and Borders police said the body was that of a male, believed to be in his 40s.
His death is being treated as unexplained and a post-mortem examination will be carried out.
The body was spotted on Sunday night but rescue teams were only able to recover it from the hill's Dry Dam section on Monday afternoon.
