Battlefield poppy found in Glasgow

The poppy has become the symbol of remembrance for all those who have died in war and is central to ceremonies marking the anniversary of Armistice Day.

A family from Glasgow have found a poppy, picked in France in 1916, which they discovered during a house move.

The family contacted Poppy Scotland to say the flower had been picked during World War I.
