Scottish Screen Archive curator Janet McBain steps down

It is the end of an era at Scottish Screen Archive as Janet McBain, the archive's curator, steps down from her post after 35 years.

Originally appointed under a job creation scheme, her first task was to sort through the films which were then stored in a garden shed.

Today the collection is responsible for more than 32,000 films.
