Man badly hurt in bottle attack
A 31-year-old man has been treated for facial injuries after being attacked with a glass bottle after a night out in Glasgow, police said.
Officers described the incident on Duke Street at about 0105 GMT as "an appalling attack".
Det Sgt Jackie Ferrie said the victim, who has not been named, was in a "terrible state" in hospital.
The officer said the suspects had inflicted terrible injuries and he would be left with permanent scarring.
The two suspects are both described as white and aged 18 to 20.
One was said to be about 5ft 5in tall, of slim build and wearing a grey/blue hooded top with logo on chest.
There was no further description of the other suspect.
Police said the victim was walking east on Duke Street when two men approached him and demanded money.
The victim refused and attempted to walk away, however one of the men struck him in the face with a glass bottle.
The injured man managed to run off, but was followed by both men who again assaulted him with the bottle.
