Pedestrian killed on M8 slip road


A 74-year-old pedestrian has died after being hit by a car on a motorway slip road in West Lothian.

John Broadley, from Livingston, was attempting to cross the A899 near Livingston when he was struck by a blue BMW at 1750 GMT on Monday.

He died at the scene near junction 3 of the M8 and the road was closed for about three hours for an investigation.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have seen the man preparing to cross the road.
