Londonderry school: Man injured in 40ft fall at site

A man has been injured after falling 40ft (12m) from a school building site in Londonderry.

Emergency services were called to the site of the new Foyle College on the Limavady Road after the man fell onto a flat surface of the the first floor.

The injured man was taken to Altnagelvin Hospital where he is in a stable condition.

The Health and Safety Executive is investigating the incident. It happened at about 1330 GMT on Monday.
