George Best £5 banknotes stolen in County Londonderry robbery

A number of George Best commemorative banknotes have been stolen in a robbery in County Londonderry.

The burglary took place at a house in The Beeches area of Drumahoe on 31 March. It happened sometime between 08:00 and 17:25 BST.

The limited edition notes were released in 2006, marking the first anniversary of the Manchester United football legend's death.

A watch was also taken in the burglary.

Police have appealed for information.
