Creggan robbery: Tools and trailer worth more than £20K stolen in Derry

Tools and a trailer worth more than £20,000 have been stolen in Londonderry, police have said.

The trailer was attached to a van that was parked in a yard at Creevagh Road in the Creggan area at about 21:00 GMT on New Year's Eve.

The following morning, it was discovered that the trailer and tools from the van were missing.

The trailer had a permanently mounted welder with a stainless steel cover valued at about £10,000.

Two large tool boxes containing custom-made hydraulic tools also worth about £10,000 were stolen from the van.

Police said they would like to hear from anyone who saw suspicious activity or noticed the trailer being towed away.

The trailer had a Northern Ireland registration plate containing the letters SLZ.
