Two arrested after rioting in Londonderry


Two men have been arrested after rioting flared in the Galliagh area of Londonderry on Thursday night.

The police said a large number of youths built a barricade and set it alight on the road at Moss Park at about 22.30 BST.

A number of missiles were thrown at police in the area, who were responding to a report of the disorder.

Two men, aged 18 and 43, were arrested on suspicious of riotous behaviour and assaulting the police.

They remain in custody.
