Londonderry man jailed for receiving stolen goods
A Londonderry man has been jailed for two and a half years for receiving stolen goods.
Jonathan Ayton, 36, from Bond's Hill, pleaded guilty at Londonderry Magistrates Court to six charges.
The court was told that the stolen goods were taken during burglaries on both sides of the Irish border last year.
He had 63 previous criminal convictions dating back to 1990. The judge described Ayton's crimes as "callous".
The defendant also admitted stealing a mobility car in the Waterside which was later found burned out in County Donegal.
