Councillor claims 'shots fired at crowd' in Londonderry
Police in Londonderry are investigating reports that shots were fired in the Creggan area of the city on Saturday.
The shots were heard at about 0230 BST in Bligh's Lane. There are no reports of any injuries or damage.
Sinn Fein councillor for the area Kevin Campbell said the shots were fired by four masked men into a crowd of young people gathered outside local shops.
Mr Campbell said he believed the vigilante group Republican Action Against Drugs carried out the attack.
"Luckily enough nobody was hit. To be honest with you we could be waking somebody today," he said.
He said the incident was "absolutely disgraceful" and nobody in the area wanted "armed men running around the streets opening fire".
