Cookstown: Pedestrian hit by car in 'serious' collision

A woman in her twenties has been injured in a "serious" road collision in Cookstown, County Tyrone.

The collision in James Street, involving a black Seat Leon car and a female pedestrian, was reported to police shortly after 03:20 BST.

Police said that a number of roads were closed in the town centre earlier on Saturday but they have since re-opened.

The person's condition is not yet known.

She was taken to hospital for treatment.
