Explosives found during police searches in Benburb

Police have seized explosives during searches in County Tyrone.

They searched two addresses in Benburb as part of an investigation into dissident republican activity.

"We removed a number of items during today's searches, including a quantity of explosives, which will now be the subject of further examination," Ch Insp Stuart Griffin said.

"This operation today has removed these dangerous items from our communities and undoubtedly saved lives."
