Charges in 'paedophile hunter' investigation

Three men have been charged over an incident involving BBC NI journalist Kevin Magee as he investigated the actions of so-called paedophile hunters

The men, aged 28, 32 and 34, are due in court accused of offences including assault, attempted intimidation, false imprisonment and disorderly behaviour.

The charges relate to an incident on Belfast's Botanic Avenue on 6 February and other offences on dates between this month and September last year.

They are due in court in Belfast later.

Meanwhile, a fourth man who was also arrested on Monday as part of the PSNI's investigation into paedophile hunters remains in custody.

He is being questioned on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and false imprisonment during an incident in Belfast on 23 November 2017.
