Motorcyclist dies after Cookstown collision with car

A motorcyclist in his 40s has died in a traffic accident in Cookstown, County Tyrone.

His motorcycle was involved in a collision with a car on the Lough Fea Road at about 19:45 on Wednesday.

Police said the man died from his injuries at the scene.

The Lough Fea Road was closed following the collision but has now reopened. Police have appealed for anyone who was travelling on the road at the time of the crash to contact them.
