Cookstown shooting: Man charged with attempted murder

A 26-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder over a gun attack on a man in Cookstown, County Tyrone, five months ago.

The 35-year-old victim was shot in the legs on 5 June when two men wearing balaclavas entered a house in the Drumcree area.

The accused has also been charged with aggravated burglary and having a gun in suspicious circumstances.

He is due to appear before Dungannon Magistrates' Court on Monday morning.

Two other men have been previously charged in connection with the case.
