Petrol bombs have been thrown at police and a van has been hijacked and set on fire in Lurgan, County Armagh.

Shortly after 04:30 BST, police received a report that a van had been set on fire at the Lake Street railway junction in the town.

Police said the van had been hijacked earlier in the Kilwilkie estate.

Three petrol bombs were thrown at police at the scene. There are no reports of any injuries.

Lake Street and the railway junction have been re-opened.
