Herbal cannabis: Police find drugs worth £500,000 outside Belfast

Police have found drugs thought to be worth more than £500,000 outside Belfast.

Officers stopped a lorry being driven towards the city on the M2 shortly before 23:00 BST on Monday and uncovered herbal cannabis.

A 39-year-old man has been arrested.

Det Insp Keith Gawley said: "This seizure highlights our continued determination to tackle the scourge of illegal drugs in the local community."

He asked anyone with information about illegal drugs to contact the police.
