A security alert in Lurgan, County Armagh, has ended and been declared a hoax.

Army bomb experts examined two suspicious objects in Lake Street and Bells Row in the town. They declared both elaborate hoaxes.

The rail line, which was closed between Lurgan and Lisburn, has now been reopened.

All roads that had been closed due to the alert have also reopened.

The Dublin to Belfast Enterprise train service had been operating as far as Newry, with passengers being transported by bus to Belfast, while the alert was ongoing.
