A 24-year-old man has been charged with the murder of James McDonagh near Toomebridge, County Antrim.

The 28-year-old from Castledawson died after an assault outside a bar and nightclub complex on the Hillhead Road on Sunday morning.

It is understood the accused will appear in court in Londonderry later on Thursday.

Three other men who were also arrested have been released on bail pending further inquiries.
