Belfast: Man charged after shots fired at police car

A 46-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after shots were fired at police in north Belfast on Christmas night.

It happened in Heath Lodge Close when shots were fired at a police car. No officers were injured.

He is also charged with making threats to kill, possession of a firearm and criminal damage.

The 46-year-old is due to appear in Belfast Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.
