Man injured in 20ft fall from scaffolding on Newtownabbey building site

A man has suffered head injuries after he and another man fell 20ft from scaffolding in County Antrim.

The Newtownabbey Times reports that the emergency services were called after scaffolding collapsed at a building site on O'Neill Road, Newtownabbey, at about 09:00 BST on Monday.

The injured man was taken to Belfast's Royal Victoria Hospital for treatment where he is in a stable condition.

The Health and Safety Executive is investigating the incident.
